The RG Strike Freedom Gundam is among the early Real Grade models that incorporate pre-molded inner frame pieces into their construction. These pieces utilize a combination of hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections, upon which builders can attach additional frame pieces and armor. Compared to its High Grade counterpart, the RG Strike Freedom Gundam utilizes almost twice the number of pieces, resulting in superior color accuracy on the 1/144th scale. Additionally, builders can unveil the plated gold parts by unfurling each wing segment of the Strike Freedom Gundam's backpack.

To ensure that the model's integrity is not compromised, Bandai's gold injection plastic is primarily used for the Strike Freedom's inner frame, providing the necessary coloring.
